Well, actually this is all speculation and a topic
that will always bring out a lively discussion on
this newsgroup. There are people on the islands
who would support legalized gambling, and there
are people who are opposed to legalized gambling.
But so far, our elected officials for the most
part are not in favor of legalized gambling, nor
will they ask the "people" what their wishes are
on the matter. As for gambling on native Hawaiian
lands, it is really not up to those who are not
Native Hawaiians...it will be up to those who end
up heading up the organization, what the Congress
allows them to do, and what they do not, and what
the States position on the matter is. That is, if
those who end up running the organization even
want to consider legal gambling on their land or
not.

Unless you are in the engineering or science field, one would not expect you
would work with a whole lot of people from Cal Tech or MIT. Besides, there
are not a whole lot of opportunities here in Hawaii for engineers....that is
why I worked in Southern California.

I was not making the argument that there are not a lot of "good" people that
come out of any of the colleges.
