Does anyone else out there agree that gas prices are too high? I drive
a lot from home to school, and to work, and I spend about fifty dollars
a week on gas. Man, I wish it was cheaper. Does anyone know of the
best gas station in O'ahu with the best price for Super Unleaded?
Please let me know. Thanks.

Gas prices are are pretty low. (Compare to milk prices...or to
soymilk prices if you prefer) Gas consumption, however, is very high.
Drive less, save more. $50 is close to what I spend on gas in a whole year.
(Hey, it's not like I'm going to drive to grandma's in Nebraska from here.)

I agree. What car could possibly need super unleaded? Ask your
mechanic the next time. My sister bought super unleaded for years
until she discovered that her Jeep did well on just unleaded. I don't
what gave her the courage to change--perhaps it was in her manual. I
think you should question why your car needs super unleaded.

That's a good first choice. Second choice is Lex Brodie's on Queen and
Coral in Kakaako. Premium is still high at $2.44.9/gal. but it's lower
than a lot of other stations and it's mini-serve...they pump the gas!
Sue (who also uses premium 'cuz I have a 17 year old car that requires
it...per my mechanic!)

The price of gas isn't the only thing that determines how much
you spend in a week, you know. I wonder what you're driving,
how many miles you drive, and how many miles you don't need
to drive.

Wouldn't that be nice? As long as people keep buying gas hogs
and driving when they don't need to, demand is going to
increase. And you know what that does to prices... Plus,
there's a war happening, and guess what that means at
the pump? | |

Add the Mini to that. And probably several other high performance cars,
but I know (from the Mini's literature) that the Mini requires super
unleaded.

My bicycle runs on a mixture of high-chocolate soymilk and
high-caffeine espresso. I wonder how many MPG I get? Hmmm...about
900 calories per hour...about 20 miles per hour...2200 calories per
gallon...almost 50 miles per gallon! Wow, Silk premium chocolate soymilk
is $10.60 a gallon, so it's a good thing I don't live far from work!
I'd switch to that cheap super unleaded gasoline stuff, except it
doesn't come in chocolate flavor. :D
