Default moon "rainbow"

Saw one this morning around 4am. All grays, subtle yet wild.

Is there a term in Hawaiian for a moon-generated rainbow?

I've heard several terms used commonly:

anuenue kau po - lit: rainbow placed in darkness/night. There should be a
kahako over the first a in anuenue and the o in po.

Po makole - lit: night rainbow. Heard this used in reference to a specific
appearance of the lunar rainbow on a night that is considered to be a Kane (the
deity) night.

In some places, when this rare event occured, it is said that Kane himself was
present amongst the populace or reveling in the forest with other deities.

Kahako over the o in po and a in makole.

A gifted Kumu Hula on O'ahu named his halau after this auspicious occasion.
Kapomakolekapuakane - Sacred lunar rainbow of Kane. Kahako over the a in Kane
- as well as the others that were described earlier.

Note that phrases that make up a proper name like this are not separated. The
earlier anuenue kau po in this instance would not be considered as such and so
would be treated as a phrase and separated out (again...depends on context and
usage).

If one is fluent or can figure out sentence structure, it is easy to create new
ways to describe the lunar rainbow. Best though, to look backward in time
first
and give credence (sp) to our kupuna.

Was it at the opposite side of the sky from the moon, like the regular
solar kind? Or was it the kind that you sometimes see *around* the
moon? (Do these have different names?)

It was opposite the moon, North Shore looking back over the fields
toward Wahiawa; and it was the same semicircular form as a rainbow. The
bottom/inside edge was very stark against misty clouds, that was the
white-est part, and it faded to gray. Not as wide as a rainbow.

Of course I gave big Mahalos! Terrific sight.

Thanks Aaliikuhonua for the interpretation and language, that has me
started learning more.

Halo around moon is:
luahoana,
(which literally means polished pit.)

or luakalai,
or luakalai lani.
