hiking walking trails in hawaii oahu

We are going to hawaii (Waikiki) for Thanksgiving this year. I would
like to spend one of the days we are there hiking through the jungle.
I hear that there are lots of trails so I would like some info as to
which ones would be the best choice. We are interested in seeing the
jungle, some waterfalls, and even some swimming holes. Neither of us
are hikers, so we wouldnt want to try the more difficult trails.
Also, we will be staying in Waikiki, with no car, so it must be
somewhere that public transportation can reach.

Be sure to leave some time to visit Lyon Arboreatum if doing the Manoa
falls hike....
