Hi all,
I am about to start my always wanted journey to Hawaii. My girlfriend
has bought a lonely planet guide to the islands, and does not let me
look at it, therefore i decided to post amessage to you guys, so to
get some suggestions on where to go, where to stay and what NOT to do.
Couple of lines abouit myself: Italian, 29, I love nice sceneries and
landscapes (I think i will be looking for the definitive suggestions
re. Vulcanoes, forests, maybe coral reef), as well as tiny, nice
places (better if run by families), so that I can get a real feeling
of what is like living in Hawaii, what do people do besides
(stereotype!!!!) surfing and driving convertible ferraris :-). We will
be staying in the wonderful islands from 10 aug to 24 aug.
Any suggestions are extremely appreciated!
Ciao (or better Aloha)

If you like sceneries and if you are coming to the island of Oahu I
would suggest doing the Diamond Head lookout. Go in the morning,
bring some water and a camera (with a lot of film or storage if you
got a digital camera). It's a hike about less than a mile each way
but you get a nice view of Honolulu.

I live on the Big Island and don't know anyone that drives a convertible
ferarri. Most people here drive Ford Pickups. The rest you got about right
though. Surfing, Coral Reefs, Active Volcanoes.

But beyond cane spiders, there are other large rentable Spyders that can run
faster than a horse - capable of carrying off full grown humans. This
report attributable to Ima Ferrari, but not Ana Rachnid. | |
