Default metro entrance

We are going to be in Greece in seven weeks time. Can you tell me where the
entrance to the metro is after you come out of the arrivals lounge?

Also, has anyone left their luggage at the 'left luggage point' there? We
don't want to trail our main bags into Athens overnight.

The airport building is long and thin. You will come out of customs on
one of the long sides. Walk straight through and out one of the double
doors opposite you. Acros the access road you will see a hotel and the
walkway to the metro station is up stairs / escelator just to the left
of the hotel.

Tickets are 6 euros for one person and 10 for two. The trip to
monastiraki - the other end of the line just under the Acropolis -
takes an hour.

I've used the left luggage in Athens with no problems. It is on short
end of the building at the extreme left as you come out of customs.
Can't remember which floor, though. (There are 2 - one for arrivals
and one for departures.) If I had to guess I would say the arrivals
floor, so try that first.

Hope this helps. Have a great time.

Alan

Thanks so much for this information, Alan. We just like to know the
direction we are to go, so we are not wandering around looking lost. =)

We are only staying the one night in Athens this time around, then heading
back to the airport to get a flight to Santorini about 6 pm. Its giving us
most of the day to wander around the Plaka again. lol
