Default Visiting in March

Hello! My girlfriend and I are thinking of visiting Greece for 8 days
in March.. Is this a good time to go, or will it really be raining
all the time? We don't care if the water is cold.. as long as we can
see sights, travel around, and stay in cool places. Thanks!

First, google takes forever to post to newsgroups, so mind the dupe
messages. Which part of Greece did you want to go to? It has a wide
variety of climates thousands of islands and a couple of mountain
ranges. Where are you located at present? This makes a difference
because 8 days is not very much if you are going to be jet lagged.

I just came back from Athens and day temperature there was about 16 - 18 C.
Sunny, only one rainy day between 27.12.2005 - 3.1.2006.

The averages for Naxos are 49.8mm rain and 10 to 16c in March. The sea temp
is some where around 16c. Athens is similar
44.3mm and 9 to 16c. In all probability you will have some nice days and
some wet ones. If you are thinking of going to the Islands the wild flowers
are stunning at this time of year.

Best Regards,

Stuart Hudson

On island's, March - May is good time to visit if you like to see nature
on it's all glory; flowers, greeny and not so many turist's there.
If you wish to go to swim, probably best place to visit is in southern Crete
where the sea temperatory can be valid for that.
I'm not sure how easy it to get there over the mountains from Iraklion to
south coast and propably south coast is quite silent place what comes for
night lifes.

(Sorry my poor english)
