The temperatures in the spring and early summer (May and the first half of
June) vary a great deal, particularly on the islands, so average temperatures
don't really mean very much.
I have known very hot weather in early June with the temperature well into
the 30s. This for me means that it's too hot to do anything much and one is
forced to rely on air conditioning to be comfortable. On the other hand I
have also known cloudy cool weather with rain at the same time of year. It is
after all a maritime climate we are talking about.
If it's important to you I think the Sporades islands, (Skiathos, Alonissos,
Skopelos etc.) are normally a degree or two cooler than the Cyclades since
they are further north and so get more of the prevailing northerly wind in
the summer. Occasionally the wind can reverse and blow from the Sahara in the
south (dumping tons of red sand in the process). Then the Cyclades can really
roast, with temperatures up to 40 degrees.
