'Peaceful' and 'kids' don't seem to go together from my experience. Adults
like peaceful whilst kids want excitement.
However if you really want a peaceful island I would say Lipsi might fit the
bill. I was stranded there 2 years ago in October for several days - the
winds got up and the hydrofoils were grounded. It was extremely peaceful but
after 4 days I was quite relieved to escape to Patmos (which is also quite
peaceful in fact).

I think that you can find a peaceful place in every island (Myconos too!!!).
It depends on the house/hotel you choose for your holidays.

| | Guest | a peaceful greek island ? Naxos. Plenty of quiet beaches with calm, shallow water and soft sand.
Do stay south of Naxos Town though, as it can get a bit crowded in
town and immediately south of it.

It looked nice on the website. :-)

If s/he's going this year, there are very few flights left and
there are none that I can find to the Cyclades.

Second that. A few years ago we flew to Heraklion, (=Hersonisos!), Crete,
but after just over one hour by car we found ourselfs in a totally different
place. One hour!

My family spent 10 days in Kefalonia in September. It was great! The
island is so large that you never run out of places to explore/visit either.
We were based in Skala.
