Default 2005 GMC Envoy Won't Start

    I have a 2005 Envoy 4.liter Engine 72,0000Km It won't start battery good no
click when trying to turn over the key also the car can not go into any
other gear. On the dashboard where the mileage reads comes up a message
saying service brake system when the key is in the on position, also when I
put the code reader on it comes up with a code C0055 Vehicle Speed sensor
    circuit.

Will any of these things make the car not start any help would be
    appreciated

Sorry 80 Knight I couldn't reply to any of the last post cause I wasn't able
to get into the news groups. I took the car into the dealer and they came up
with the ignition switch was faulty.

The cost of the part was $45 and the total cost of finding the problem
and installing the ignition switch was $295 Canadian with tax.

The reason I posted for the people that didn't read the thread was that
the car couldn't start and a message came up in the info center on the dash
    saying service brake system.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what the fix was. Did installing
a new ignition switch also get rid of the "service brake system" in the info
center, and what was the dealership's explanation for that? Just curious,
as I used to have a Trailblazer, and now have a Tahoe.
