 Walking in France and Italy
Hello! My girlfriend and I are about to embark on a four month driving
tour of Eastern Europe. We are driving from the UK and will be
concluding our trip via Italy and France. We will have roughly a week
to spend in each of these countries, and would like to go on extended
walks. Could anyone recommend a 4-5day long walk in northern Italy and
in France? We are young and fit, experienced walkers from Australia,
well equipped and on a tight budget! We'd like walking with a mixture
of beautiful natural scenery, and attractive towns/villages with good
local food and wine. We'd like to sleep as cheaply as possible and
could carry a tent, though I don't know how feasible "wild" camping
wold be in these countries. Any suggestions?
