Bus travels in Europe Bus in UK and Spain
Agreed. Turkey, Bulgaria and Ireland also. Everywhere else in Europe
you should take the train unless you have a phobia of parallel lines or
are morally against subsidised transportation. In Greece you will be
taking the ferry. You can bus to and from the ferry terminals. Northern
Norway you don't have a choice, bus or car rental is it. But as soon
as you get under the artic circle, hop back onto a train. I don't
know about the former Yugoslavia or Albania. In Poland the only viable
alternative to slow train travel is walking.
Flying may seem like an inexpensive option, but then you fly right over
places you should be visiting. Tackle Europe in small chunks, trying to
avoid going to the same place twice. That said, prices for flying out
of the UK may just be too tempting. |
