Default Traveling with MS

My wife has MS and we plan to travel in Europe in the summer. Can anyone
sugest locations that do not have high temperatures (over 80 F)? When
someone with MS is hot, they cannot do anything.

Thanks

BWL

For openers, I suggest Britain and Ireland, where temperatures over
80F are very uncommon.

I'm sure you'll get lots of other suggestions.

I can't vouch for the temperatures for sure, but how about pottering
'round the Baltic: Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga and maybe
Gdansk?

All that stuff is a long way up north, after all. I've only been
there in the winter, though, for the snö.

Scandinavia also springs to mind, and possibly Alpine areas too.

I would go in June (or May) if I were you, and not wait till later in July
or August, because almost anywhere in Europe can get a blast of 80 degree
heat, particularly later in the summer. I go to Northern Germany every
summer, and sometimes in July it has never gotten over 62 degrees and the
sun never came out, but other summers it is sweltering--it is a matter of
whether high pressure areas streaming up from around the Azores predominate,
or whether low pressure areas streaming down from the Iceland predominate.
And the REAL problem is that since they only get blasted like that every now
and then, most places have no air conditioning, and even have inadequate
ventilation--in German culture "drafts" are presumed to be unhealthy, so
most places don't even have fans (not to mention failing to have screens on
windows despite abundant mosquitos). But if you go to northern France, or
anywhere north of the Alps in June, the chance of 80 degree weather is
significantly diminished (though it still can happen--there can be a period
of a few 80 degree days in the north as early as May even in the north--but
this is certainly not the historical average daily high temperature).
