If you've returned from Europe and want to unload Euros in exchange
for dollars I'd be glad to buy your Euros at one dollar per euro.
Must be in the Seattle area.

The exchange rate is about $1.20 per Euro right now. Let's say that banks
are selling them for $1.25 and paying $1.15 for them. That means someone
returning from Europe with 100 Euros would lose $15 by doing business with
you.

Stop trying to scam people.

Richard

Such a generous offer! The bank will probably give $1.15 per Euro.

But who brings home a bag of Euro coins? Most people I know will dump their
change at the snack bar before the flight. Besides, now that so much of
Europe is on the Euro, unless you really messed up and brought home a
thousand or so, you might as well save it until next trip.

Last fall I returned home with about $5.00 US in Euro coins.
Changing planes in Los Angeles, I had to go through the metal
detector again and put them in one of the trays they provide.
Fifteen minutes later, by now on the other side of the airport, I
remembered that I had forgotten to pick up my coins.

I didn't bother going back (they would have been gone by then,
anyway), but I was annoyed.
