I managed to find somewhere at one weeks notice the week of the world Ice
Hockey championships :-)

Yes, I guess I should have been a bit more specific about what kind of
place I'm looking for. We're a family of 3 with a small child. I'm looking
to
stay somewhere in the centre. I'm looking for accomodation which is
somewhere in
the middle - not 5-star but not hostel accomodation either, say a 3-star
hotel.
I'm not so specific about the facilities of the hotel.

(I cant help anymore as the one I stayed in was a tram ride away).

I wasn't meaning to suggest that you can find nothing in this
time frame.

But you are unlikely to find much availability at the places
that come recommended (except at the top end of the
price range).
