Istanbul hotels?

Hi,
I'm going to turkey on my honeymoon, and would appreciate any
recommendations on higher end hotels in istanbul. I don't need to
stay at the 4 seasons, but am thinking of the blue house or sutanahmet
palace -- something in that range that is in central istanbul. I
would especially like to hear about hotels of similar quality that
don't pop up in every guide book. Any comments appreciated.

honeymoon ????
be carefull : a 4* hotel in Istambul is rather different than in western
Europe. If you wish not to have a bad experience, choose one of your
favorite chain (Hilton ....)

A friend of mine stayed at the Sofitel in Istanbul and said it was nice.

And just what do you expect to go wrong with the Istanbul hotels. When
considering a visit I never considered anything other than a small place
in Sultanahmet. Admittedly there is a chance with any old place that is
renovated but I can find a Hilton most anywhere.

For my taste I would prefer a high end room in an old place perhaps with
a balcony and take my chances.
