decent hotel in London?

Hi,

I'm headed to London for a quick business trip and was hoping someone
might be able to recommend a nice hotel (room w/ bath, clean but no
need for anything overly fancy). I'm only going to be in town for 3-4
days, and so I'm hoping to find something in a convenient location for
sightseeing and shopping, eating, etc. that's not overly expensive (is
this possible in June?)

Many thanks for any and all recommendations! If anyone knows of a
useful website for booking discount rates (and/or finding reviews) I'd
also be grateful to hear it...

No matter what hotel you book you will find those Brits a right friendly
lot. Why, on my first visit to London many years ago we visisted the
theatre and the first thing they did was play _My Country 'Tis Of Thee_ -
imagine that, just for us Yanks!

I have been there 5 times in the last 10 years, and each time I go I
stay at the Holiday Inn Kensington. Very nice hotel, in a great
neighborhood and best of all its literally right across the street
from the Gloucester Road Tube stop which is on the circle, district
and picadilly lines.

Its nothing like a Holiday Inn here in the states. Check it out online
and trust me, you wont be dissapointed.
