Default Bologna restaurants, was Venice Restaurants

OK, how about some restaurant suggestions for Bologna? So far we have
not spent much time in Bologna and just grabbed a light lunch at
Tamburini's (certainly seemed like mostly local folks there). Where
else should we try?

If you have money to burn, Pappagallo Verde is THE place, but it was too
expensive for me. So we walked on, turned a little corner and found
Grassilli, and were very happy indeed. Lunch for two including a moderate
bottle of wine and a 10% gratuity was Euro 73. That was one shared terrine
of duck, two pastas, two plates of assorted roasted veg from the display and
one dessert plus water and a sangiovese. It could have been more but
neither of us wanted meat.

I would recommend

Nonno Rossi

just a street away from the airport

and

Rodrigo

via della zecca

Do not forget a GOOD restaurant in Italy will cost
about 100 eur..
but there you will eat what you will never eat at home.

Bologna unluckily has two exhibitions a month
every month of the year about..

so prices are very expensive and quality very low

a normal restaurant in bologna will cost anything between 25 and 50 eur
depending on the wine you drink.

It's hard to go wrong in Bologna! My advice would be to avoid the
high-priced places and then follow your instincts after perusing the
menu outside and having a peep inside.

We were there in May and using this strategy, we had some superb meals
and went back to a couple of restaurants.
