Default Best Time for Spain

My husband and I plan to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary next
year with a trip to Spain. Though our anniversary is in the early fall
we are concerned that the weather would be nicer in the spring. Is the
countryside prettier in the spring or is fall just as nice? Please
advise.

The country side will be different. But just as pretty IMO. You should go
whichever time suits you best. Early autumn sounds good to me!

Spain is a great place to visit at any time of year. It is very
geographically diverse, so that even when it's getting cold in the
north, it's still nice in the south. And likewise, when it's blazing
hot in the south, it's quite nice up north. Plus, Spain is a very
mountainous country with large climatic difference within short
distances. As far as seasons go, I prefer the fall. Summer is probably
my least favorite season due to the crowds.

Well, since that is pretty much exactly what I was going to say, I'll just say
"me too".
