Default RER / Metro travel in Paris

I have been travelling to Paris every year for the last three years
for a midweek break. I have been under the misguided impression the
the visite pass was good value - reading other posts it looks like I
have been paying way over the odds!

Can I just check my assumptions below are correct. I am travelling
with my Wife and 2 small children.

1. Buy a return trip from the airport to Paris on RER line B - what is
the return fare? I know the one way fare is about 7-8 EUR

2. Buy a 1-2 zone carte orange with passport sized photos - are these
valid on buses? buses look a lot more convenient with small children.

3. If we choose to have a day in disney - buy a return RER ticket.
Does anyone know the cost of a return trip?

4. Carte orange is valid for fenicular monmartre - lovely Sacre Coer
mmmmmmm

does this seem a sensible plan?

Thanks for that - since I posted yesterday I have looked into the zone
1-5 carte orange. There is practically no difference in cost between :
1. A carte orange zone 1-2 and pay seperate fares for RER trip from
CDG to Paris, and
2. A carte orange zone 1-5
So I think I'll go for the zone 1-5 carte orange.
Is it better to get these from the airport (if possible) or the CDG
railway station?

... Hi,
...
... I am going to Paris for the first time in August and will be flying out
... from Reims. What's the cheapest way to get from Paris to Reims? Do I
... take the RER? I am not familiar with the transportation system and
... don't know whether I need to book any tickets now. Help!! Thank You!!

I would take the train, if I were you... You can't catch the RER in Reims, it's just for
the Paris outskirts.

Default RER / Metro travel in Paris

Trains run about every two hours from Gare du Nord, some
are direct and some require a change in Epernay about
an hour and a half by train
