Default Spanish Sim Card

Could someone please help me and tell me if it is possible to get one
of these from the UK before I go to Spain. I would like a pay as you
go if possible and wondered if there is anywhere that offer free ones
like you can get in the uk. If it isn't possible to get one before I
go where would the best place to go once in Spain. I will be stopping
in the Ayamonte area

Thanks for any help

Bri

Several for sale on ebay but it's cheaper to wait until you get to
Spain. I bought a Vodafone one in Malaga that cost 24 euros but it
already had 24 euros credit on it so the sim card was effectively
free.

I got one at Barcelona airport. The shop assistant was reluctant
to sell it to me as he said that I could not recharge it.

This proved partly true. The SIM was Vodafone and it can
be topped up without trouble by paying cash at one
of the numerous Vodafone shops.

However to top up over the internet you must first have
topped it up at a Spanish bank cash machine using
a Spanish bank card, so unless you have such a card
it would be best to check it is charged whenever
you see one of the provider's shops

€15 and €30 value scratch-card type Vodafone vouchers are widely
available in newsagents & supermarkets all over Spain.
