Nor me. I thought Rome was expensive, but cheaper than, say, Dubai. And I
speak no more than execrable Menu-talian. I found some fab restaurants in
Rome and didn't see any unusual charges. I was, however, dragged unwillingly
to nightclubs which were outrageously priced ... more expensive than in
Tokyo or Hong Kong .... ?10-?15 for a warm Heineken.

I've never been offered "noodles" in Italy.

I wouldn't call the flat strips of lasagne "noodles".

And you can't really make Italian dishes with noodles, or Asian dishes with
Italian pasta.

Not every OAP has the same budget.
Gawd knows how anybody survives on what the DSS hands out every month.
