It was almost 15 years ago that I flew into CDG on a Canadian charter. I
recall being given a card to fill out. We walked to the gate and there was
a guy sitting at a counter. We handed him the completed cards and held out
our passports. He took the cards without looking at them, glanced at the
Canadian passports we were holding and waved us through. Travelling by
train from Germany to Switzerland, Switzerland to Italy, some guys in
uniforms came through the train car checking passports. The people behind
us had eastern European accents and got a bit of a grilling but when they
got to us we just held up our Canadian passports and they nodded and walked
away, and did the same with Americans sitting across from us. | |

It isn't fair, when it is a well-known fact (because Mixi said it) that we
poor Europeans have to save up for 10 years for a TV.
