As a matter of fact, yes, I tried FRA-JFK.
On their site, are you using these buttons?
* Search by price +/- 3 days
* Search for specified travel dates

Why don't you contact Lufthansa on their website by e-mail and
describe your problem and displeasure with it. Most times I have had
problems with websites they have quickly resolved them within hours or
days. My guess is that they may have "upgraded" their software and
possibly not even know about this problem.

SNAFU?
Similar to the P&O online booking system producing a system error that appeared
to be random, but turned to occur when a boat was fully booked.
