Default Laptop Computer Systems

I just wanted to get some info from people
who have had experience with Laptops, especially people who do travel
writing and
photography. I am going to Europe(probably
Germany) to do freelance work writing, photography, and possibly travel
videos.

I would like to have enough capability to produce decent work, i.e.
photoshop, etc.
and would like to know if the computer I buy
here will be compatible with for example ISP's
in Europe. I don't necessarily want to maintain
an American address for the purpose of computer services. In other
words what's the
most cost effective way to go without compromising either ISP or
Hardware. I need to be able to use the Laptop and ISP where
ever I go if possible, in Europe.

I plan on going to areas such as the Mosel and
Rhein River, not to mention more populated areas and was wondering about
the range of
wireless in less populated areas.

Thanks in advance,

Patrick Lee

Definitely look into the Mac.

I bought a DELL laptop in the US in 2004, I moved to France the same
year. No problem with Internet connections. I just used a cheap plug
adapter for the EU sockets to connect the transformer and everything
works fine.
