| | Guest | With Toulouse, Languedoc, as a base,l what things to do, places to see? We're sorting out our plans for our drive across the south of France in
the Spring. We'll be going from the Italian to the Spanish border.
We'll be using Nice as our base of operatoins for Cote d'Azur and
Aix-en-Provence as our base for the Provence leg of the trip. From a
geographical perspective, Toulouse looks perfect for a base for
Languedoc, it's centrally located and opens up all the old Cathar
backcountry to us to explore. What things should we see/do in Toulouse?
And what are good sights in driving distance of Toulouse? We'll be
there 2 nights. | |

| | Guest | With Toulouse, Languedoc, as a base,l what things to do, places to see? I was there for a week in June 2005, waiting for a yacht. It come on
dockwise from Fort Lauderdale. Not much to see in the city. Bad area
close to the harbor. Arrived in Toulouse via train from Italy. Nice
train trip. On 30 Oct 2006 05:54:36 -0800, "Steve G"
