Payment in Euros to a German bank account Country of origin plays a big role in the transfer.
You have 2 or 3 costs.
the spread between the cost cost of the euros and the value of the
euros
the cost to generate the transfer
the cost of the transfer
the fees by the receiving bank.
some of these costs may be zero.
find out if the agent' bank has a partner bank in country of origin.
check with your bank, large bank in country of origin, and a
commercial money conversion/transfer company.
If this deposit is only a couple hundred euro, it's not enough to do
much shopping. If it is a couple thousand, then look around.
costs to transfer €5000 should be about 1-2% of transfer, plus
$20-30US.
