Default Traveling between the US and Paris Charles de Gaulle and back

Hi,

My wife and I are traveling to Paris next week. I know of the
restricted items not allowed in carry on luggage liquids, gels, etc. I
hate checking luggage. Are passengers still allowed two carry on pieces
as before the new restrictions went into effect as long as there are
none of the restricted items in the carry on? Does one have to have all
carry on items in a clear plastic bag or pouch? We will be traveling on
American Airlines.

Thanks for any feedback

JJ

I think just one per person but I would look at aa.com and check for
sure. I was just in Paris last May and had a great time...

One full carryon?

In effect, it's not so different from when I went in July.

On the outbound, I was able to take a wheeled carryon and a large
17-inch laptop bag. BMI also let me do this for a short flight too.

But on the return, BMI clamped down and so did AF so I had to check the
carryon because of weight.
