Amsterdam Help! - Obvious landmark (meeting point) around Central Station - Amsterdam, Netherlands

Hi All:

I will need to organize a meeting point with another person at Central
Station, Amsterdam(neither of us have been to Amsterdam before).

I will be waiting at the station well in advance, and the other person
will be arriving via the subway from Schiphol.

Could anyone suggest the easiest, most obvious place for us to meet? Ie
Someplace very close to Centraal (we will have lots of luggage) which
we could ask any local where to find it and they would know - a coffee
shop, newstand, etc.
