Default February Disneyland trip - questions

Hubby and I went to Disneyland in February 05 to celebrate our 30th
anniversary. Our1st time without any kids. It was a blast!!! We stayed
at the Coast Hotel. I think it's now the Clarion. The weather was good,
the crowds weren't bad at all. We actually decided to go to ESPN Zone
for our anniversary dinner-it's in Downtown Disney. Great food and
excellent service. Hubby mentioned it was our 30th anniversary and the
next thing we know is the manager Kevin is at our table congratulating
us and offering a dessert of our choice-we took the brownie-it's
gigantic with lots of chocolate sauce and a huge scoop of ice
cream-yummy! After that it was upstairs to play all the arcade games.
Hope you have a great time. I can't wait to go back. Later, Mary

Default February Disneyland trip - questions

Thanks for all your responses! We checked with the Disney Dining
number, and were told there was no special Valentine menu planned at the
Blue Bayou. So now, since there isn't that to sway our decision as to
when to have our special meal there, either Valentine's Day or the day
before, which is our anniversary, we'll have to decide and then call
back to make reservations.

Leaving on Sunday, yay! Looking forward to our trip! :)

Default February Disneyland trip - questions

Well, hubby and I just got home, we a wonderful time at Disneyland
celebrating our anniversary and Valentine's Day in proper Mickey Mouse
style! The Candy Cane Inn was just lovely, an unbeatable value for what
you get for the price. Beautiful rooms, very nice pool area, helpful
staff, and a fantastic continental breakfast buffet - definitely will
stay there next time if it isn't booked full. And although there was no
onsite restaurant or room service, they did give us menus from a few
places that delivered, which was helpful on the day we arrived and
weren't going to the park. Thanks to everyone for your ideas and input.

I have another question, for the next time we end up going. I have
limited mobility, and while I rent an ECV when I get inside the park,
the problem is getting from the hotel shuttle bus area to the front gate
of the park. It was a very long, exhausting and frustrating trek for me
twice a day (coming and going), and I'm wondering if there are any tips
for getting some help in this area?

Last time we went a few years ago, at the end of the day when I turned
in my ECV, they were kind enough to have someone walk me out to our bus
stop as I rode, then I got off and they took it back in for me. I still
had to make the walk on the way in, but at least it cut out the other
trip at the end of the day. But this time the lady was dismissive and
rude, and flat-out refused to help or even try to figure out a way to
make it a little easier for me, so I just suffered through it the rest
of the trip and didn't bother asking again. I should have tried to find
someone more customer-friendly to try to find a solution, but I wasn't
sure where to look.

I know that I can't be the only person who has this issue at the park.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

Diva

PS: Loved our anniversary dinner at Blue Bayou! Got a table by the
water, which was just beautiful. I had the jambalaya, and hubby had the
ribs, which he raved about. And the key lime pie... to die for! The
staff was kind enough to all sign a special anniversary card for us, and
even brought us an unexpected, complimentary chocolate mousse to share,
so I ended up only having a couple of bites of the key lime pie and took
the rest back to the hotel to enjoy with my evening coffee. When hubby
was trying to take a photo of the menu, the waitress told him that we
could take them home with us! Think I might frame them (each facing a
different way so you see both sides) and hang it in the kitchen, that
would look cool, I think! :)
