Default Fantasmic for the first time

Hi. I'm mostly a lurker and enjoy reading a lot of the posts, and
learn a great deal.

My husband, sister in law, and two daughters (just under 6 and 3.5 at
the time) are going to Disneyland in January (3rd-5th). Except for my
trips as a kid, this is our second visit. We last went in March of
2005. At the time of our visit, the park was not open late so we did
not get to see any fireworks or Fantasmic shows. Am I right that you
can get preferred seating for Fantasmic? Is this recommended with
young kids? Any suggestions or info would be helpful.
Thanks
Linda

Preferred seating is nice, but EXPENSIVE!

It's been a couple of years since I got preferred seating for my sister
and myself, but it was $45.00 back then. I don't know what it is now.
