Default Knotts or Universal?

So I have a trip planned for late October, we are staying at Paradise Pier
and doing 4 full days at Disneyland Resort. My In-laws were interested in
seeing either Knotts Berry Farm or Universal. I wanted to get the groups
feel on the two parks.

Thanks,
Tracy

I personally prefer Universal to Knotts, but prefer the DIsneyland
Resort parks to either of them.

Thanks for all your imput. Maybe we will try to fit them both in. John,
have been to knotts recently? I keep hearing how the take over has focussed
on Thrill rides and that they have let the Ghost town fall apart, is that
true?

If you like Roller Coasters and thrill rides the Knotts is the place,
Universal has a mixture of both, but is more on the neat factor than
thrill factor. Backlots tour is worth the trip to Universal.

I don't think any park in the country could have a larger crowds for
holloween celebrations than Knotts. They have been doing Haunted nights
for decades and it has gotten to be quite a huge draw. However, that is
at night after the normal park hours.

I've found that too but have met many very nice employees at Universal.
The food is absurdly priced just like at Disneyland! Thats why at
Disneyland I eat out in Downtown Disney and while at Universal I have
lunch in CityWalk. Much better food at a better price.

I just take beach to 91 to I-5 and exit into Micky's garage. Quick and
easy. 15 minutes tops.
