MK is very much like DL. Many of your favorite rides are much the same.
A couple DL classics that are now gone still exist at MK such as
People Mover and Bear Country Jamboree.
I'm not much for Epcot. On a hopper ticket its certainly worth spending
part of a day there. To me its an overprice shopping center with the
main attractions being shops and restaurants. There are a few good
rides and shows. In the evenings I enjoyed listening to some of the
bands playing around the park.
Disney Studios is fun. Rock'n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are
both great. | |

It is certainly not a better show. However, I enjoyed being able to
actually see it. At DL one must wait hours or pay an absurd price for a
great view of the show. Sure, I can stand at a few locations and see an
ok show but theres no comparison. Having a stadium is hands down better
even if the show is not as good. At least I can see it.

3 hours before the show? Its a fun show but not worth sitting around
for 3 hours in my opinion. Only thing worse was the year Indy opened
and people waited 4.5 hours in line. Stretched all the way back to
Small World. I love Disneyland, but not that much!!

No. I'd rather have a decent seat for a decent show without a huge wait
than a lousy view standing or waiting hours or paying an absurd price
for a decent view. Being elbow to elbow in a massive crowd is not fun
no matter what the view. There is no standing view I could say is
decent at DL. Some places are ok at best but have limited obstructed
views. For many people they are acceptable. Not for me.
Some people love the fireworks from Mainstreet. Normally this means
elbow to elbow with people pushing and shoving. It's the same issue to
me. For some, thats fine and a great show. Not my style!!
> DL's is a show that you're practically in.
In? As in smashed in with others in a crowd? I agree the DL show is
far better but its very difficult to see in any form of comfort and have
an unobstructed view of the entire show including the stage.

Most of my friends saw Fantasmic at DL once and share the same views as
me. It is not worth fighting the massive crowds for a mediocre view.
If I catch DL on an unusually unbusy evening its a great show.
Otherwise, I skip it. | |

You're doing it wrong. You can get there less than a half hour before
showtime and get a good viewing spot on most days.

Those locations are ok to me but not really decent.

Even that location results in a very crowded crammed seat on the ground
after waiting at least an hour. I was just there last weekend. People
were sitting over 2 hours prior to every showtime. I need some elbow
room!! Thats why the demand for the reserved seating is so high. Those
seats are nice but not worth the absurd $'s.

I'd rather sit in my hotel room that fight the massive crowds seeing
DL's Fantasmic. On a rare night I have really enjoyed it when crowds
are light but thats very rare. Some people don't mind standing,
sitting, waiting in massive crowds elbow to elbow. It's just not for me.

I disagree. What is good to some is mediocre to me. I have seen the
show with no wait at all. While I could see the entire show it wasn't
exactly comfortable viewing. Some people have no trouble with massive
crowds, standing on top of walls, viewing through fences etc. Thats ok
but its just not my style of enjoyment.

You can get there less than a half hour before showtime and get a good
viewing without viewing through fences or standing on top of walls. You
can be almost dead center with a clear view in front of you.

Dead center 1/2 hour before show time puts you behind the temporary
walkway. Usually there are massive crowds there. I've stood dead
center back against some of the New Orleans Square shops. I wouldn't
call it a decent, comfortable, enjoyable way to see a show. As I said,
some people don't mind such conditions. I'm not one of those! I need
some elbow room. | |
