I thought it was great! I guess I never grew up. I may be approaching
retirement age, but I have never lost my love of most anything Disney.
Sure, there have been some flops along the way, but in general, they are
top notch. The only other animated features recently that come up to
the Disney level as far as I am concerned are the two Shrek movies.
Maybe part of the problem for your kids is that Route 66 is ancient
history that they never even have heard about. I enjoyed spotting all
of the various rock formations around radiator springs, such as the one
above the town that looks like a radiator cap, the one at the dirt track
that looks like a hood ornament, and the range of mountains that looks
like 'Carhenge'. I have traveled Route 66 and the run down town in the
movie really matches some of the towns you see along the way.
