 it must be tough to be an imagineer...
i just rode the new "pirates" and was pretty underwhelmed--i thought to
myself "that's all they did? come ON." then i recalled how before i
rode the ride i was just hoping that they wouldn't change it too much.
i think this was a no-win for them.
that said, i would have simply liked to have seen the new treasure
room, and the new sounds and explosions worked, too. the davy jones
thing was neat, but it wasn't really tied in with the rest of the ride.
sparrow was flat-out distracting--i agree with the earlier thread that
more people were looking for sparrow than enjoying the ride.
instead of "fixing" rides that ain't broke, why not get the people
mover going again, or bring back the rocket ships, or maybe even get a
decent ending for snow white...
