Pirates of the Caribbean 2006 Makeover

could not access your blog...but I just got back from 5 days at DL,
M-F. On Monday the line for Pirates was from 2-4 hours depending on
who you asked. It really appeared that it caught
Disney by surprise as NOS was just overwhelmed with people, rope lines,
etc...

we stayed away and by accident walked past Pirates on Friday and found
that there was little no line. we got in in 25 minutes, just like
usual.

Either people were very misinformed about the "new" additions or are
just suckers for anything new from Disney.

so you get Jack three times, a water screen and the addition of a stone
chest. Other than that there is nothing to merit the hype that existed
at the beginning of the week.

I do not know why the line dropped off so fast. Maybe word got out that
it was nothing worth waiting for.

I think it dropped off because everyone who knew about the changes went
right away, and no one else really cares, or can simply wait until their
next visit.

We went last Sunday and Monday, and had not idea of the Pirate-mania that
would hit on Monday. It made our Disneyland trip miserable, because the
park was so crowded on Monday that you couldn't breath. I really never
cared about the Pirrates ride to begin with, and can't imagine any change
being worth a 2 to 4 hr wait. We ended up spending most of our day at
California Adventure. We won't be going back to Disneyland soon, it was not
a fun time fighting those Pirate-maniacs.
