| | Guest | I Saw a Celebrity Today Went to Disneyland today and saw Jamie Lee Curtis. We were watching the
garbage can band performers and I noticed her walking my way with a
Disneyland cast member. I told my daughter, "that's Jamie Lee Curtis"
and starting following her (does that make me a stalker, lol!). They
went to Star Tours. The cast member took her to an area where she
could go in without standing in line. I stood there right next to her
for about 30 seconds debating whether I was going to say anything to
her or not. I decided not to, since she was there with her family.
Well, her kids anyway, as I did not see her husband. There was a
gentleman there standing in line that also recognized her and he held
out his hand and she shook it. Then the cast member for the Star Tours
attraction let her go in. My daughter was laughing at me because she
said that I was just standing there staring at her. She is quite
beautiful and actually a little shorter than I imagined her to be. I
checked IMDB, and I know that there are flaws there, but it lists her
height at 5'9. She looked shorter than that to me. I thought it was
cool to see her, as I do enjoy her films. In fact, I just watched her
yesterday in Christmas with the Kranks on either Showtime or HBO.

That's interesting, cuz I was at Disney World last week, and I was
walking directly behind a woman in a purple and white kimono with white
lace leggings and ballet shoes and a brown shoulder-length bob. After
looking at her from the back, I thought, "this is something that Bjork
would wear". I walked in front of her and looked, and it was her, with
her husband and daughter. I wanted to approach her but I didn't want to
get punched! Anyway, she has this weird twitch that she does with her
mouth, it looked like she had turrettes or something. A few years ago I
noticed her face twitching during a concert, and she was doing it again
at Disney World. It's like this weird grimmacing face she kept making
over and over. Anyway I did manage to get a few pics.

| | Guest | I Saw a Celebrity Today I'll add my Disney celeb sightings too....
About a million years ago, I saw Esptein from Welcome Back Carter -
he's probably not a celeb now but he was a big one back then. Me and my
little friends followed him the whole time (hey, we were kids!)
Now-a-days, I would be like Golden and nimue and not say anything or
make the celeb even know I'm staring. But back when I was a kid, we
didn't hesitate to follow poor Epstein! He was on a date -- he had his
arm around the shoulder of some girl the entire time as they walked.
I'm sure he appreciated a bunch of kids following him. lol! Actually we
did keep our distance...
Another time, years ago, I also saw Mary Hart, who by the way is
extremely pretty in real life. Much prettier than on TV.

Neither should you...it's a *real* shame that you are permitted to come
into contact with kids via your teaching job.

| | Guest | I Saw a Celebrity Today i saw val kilmer in 2001 about 6 months after dca opened. he was in the
same loading area as me for soaring. it was kinda funny because he had a
beard and wore a hat, and kept putting his hands to his face, hiding
behind his group or family. i sure no one would have noticed, but
because he was acting that way, he actually was drawing attention to
himself. | |

You would know his how? You've met both personally and gotten to know
either one well?
Why do people get all excited about seeing someone famous walking by
anyways? They're just people out having a nice day just like anyone else.
I was amazed at some people at DCA a couple years ago. Tom Cruise and
Penolpe Cruz walked by us in the opposite direction. I just continued
on my way. As I walked I noticed a guy carrying a beer. It looked good
so I asked where he bought it (I hadn't found the beer wagon at that
time!). He replied 'heck with the beer, Tom Cruise is the other way'.
I kept going and found the beer.
Later while in line at Soaring I asked why the line had not moved in
quite some time. She replied that Tom Cruise was inside and they were
waiting till he cleared out before allowing anyone else in.
