Does anyone have any on ride video of the Matterhorn taken before the major
remodel in the 70's?

Were handheld video cameras even around in the 70's? I seem to remember the
early 80's ones being extremly large and cumbersome.

I used 1/2 inch reel to reel portapaks, Black & White. I still have a
few of my projects on them.

But any transfers from home movies or 8mm or super 8 anything drives
me crazy! Especially wmv's, cause then Tommy can't see them, and he
get's all jealous, hee hee.

Ed

There is a film from 1962 with Tony Curtis called 40 Pounds of Trouble that has
a segment in Disneyland. Curtis and Susanne Plechette take a ride down the
Matterhorn. The footage does show what the ride was like in its early days plus
it shows a bit of the new expansion to Tomorrowland which included the
Submarine Lagoon and Monorail. The film itself is pretty much a dog. But the
Disneyland segment is kinda cool to watch. Worth renting if you can run it down
just for the Disneyland footage.

Saw you posting about that movie from earth to the moon, did you realize that
