I like that concept.
I think maybe somewhere in the back of their (TDA's) head (WDI's for
sure), that even without Westcot they still wanted to have a World
Showcase type of resort location, maybe the 4th park or part of the 3rd
that replaced some other 'more Disneyland-like project that was
originally planned'.
But if that idea wasn't ever going to be used for a future park here in
the west, I think it sounds like a cool concept for DtD.
Or if not another park or part of DtD.. a World Showcase additional
resort offering, like a mall/few mini golf courses and a waterpark
combined would be a great concept to overlay the 'World Showcase West'
over. It's a wonderful idea as a whole.. the World Showcase/Global
Village/Worlds Fair concept, that has worked before (at Epcot and Worlds
Fairs and would work again great if it was packed with things to do and
see and oozing with fun and atmoshere and not uber-frugally built and
not filled wirth bad ideas (ie Rocket Rods, TL '98 in general and SSL). |
