Have to agree with you 100%, Miles.

I think they've lost sight of what the place is all about.

While I do enjoy DCA and other Disney parks they are not Disneyland.
What I am seeing is that Disneyland is slowly becoming just like the
other Disney parks. It's losing it's uniqueness as being Disneyland.

Jeezus do they have to capitalize on every success by squeezing it to death
to milk every possible cent out of it in the process, killing the goose that
laid the golden egg? Unbelievable.

I remember when "synergy" used to be cool.

No, I think Walt meant exactly what he said and they way most take it.
Otherwise we'd have a ton of really old rides of little interest now.

I agree with Tommy, we all miss things and some new things leave something
to be desired. However, its still Disneyland, its still the best.
I will agree that maybe all Tom Sawyer Island needs is a good reburb, yet it
needs something and if my choice was to keep it as is without a reburb or
turn it into a new attraction then I would be up for the change. As the
island is now, its really lacking.
My point was that some people spend so much time ragging on the park. Lets
not forget its still disneyland and we all still visit along with many
others.

I still like Disneyland but only when I find a lucky day where its not
jammed. Any time ride lines are 45mins to 3 hours its just no fun. I
can't stand having to jam my way through a bottleneck crowd in front of
POTC or Splash Mountain or Tomorrow Land. I don't enjoy Disneyland when
its like that.

I agree with you but has'nt it always been that way? I can remeber 90
minute lines for same mountain when I was a teenager and thats 30 years ago.
I go in October no crowds, cheap hotels. I did go a weekend in August and I
was surprised that I did not wait too long.

I went on New Years Eve 1988. Disneyland was deserted. Except for a
few hours mid day, rides were all walk on. Of course the live
entertainment that night was Marie Osmond!

Same with going to Disneyland on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Day in
the 70's. Nobody there. Everyone was home with the family. Today
those days are jammed.

I don't believe it. Getting rid of Tom Sawyer Island would be like
getting rid of POTC. It will never ever ever happen.

John Lasseter is in charge of Imagineering now. I trust his decisions.
How many of you actually go to Tom's Sawyer's island every trip? I know
it is not high priority like it was when I was a kid. Get over the
possible changes. If they happen, they happen.
