Pirates at D Land

The kids are pretty pumped up after the movie (best movie they ever saw) so
we are gonna hit the park tonight and do the ride, has the disney crew done
anything special at the ride or at the bayou due to the movie. Are the
lines long. BTW everyone mentions the pirate dudes but I thought the maiden
was pretty hot, I will take her on a deserted island anyday.

Hadn't thought about that! Bummer if the lines get long but I would think they
would for a short time. Did Disney issue a POTC Movie pin?

The present Disney Company is simply way too cheap to further enhance the
ride itself. From what I hear from regular Park visitors, many of the
ride's special effects (e.g., cannon ball blasts-in-water-effects) are still
not functioning properly, even after a recent "rehab".

Therefore, if there is anything "extra" going on, it is directly related to
the promotion of the movie, not the wonderful attraction that inspired the
film.

From what I hear Pirates is supposed to be getting some major additions for the
50th anniversary. Did that fall by the wayside?

I also heard there will be some sets from the movie added to the ride.
