Default Country Bear Confusion

Okay, quick question......... I just didn't know the reason for this........
why did they get rid of the Country Bear Jamboree since the movie came out so
recently? I am really confused about it. Didn't they think that maybe little
kids would see the movie and be sad that the bears are gone from Critter
County? Does anyone know if they're ever planning to bring the Bears back? I
love them!

I think this is a matter of the same company not paying attention to what one
part is doing. The original attraction (and the first) is still in operation at
WDW and has the original show.

The popularity of the Bears in Disneyland declined over the years, and the
incarnations (Vacation Hoedown) really weren't very good anyway. I don't think
it was a fair trade off, Pooh with the Bears. I would have rather used that
space, plus additional space behind the Rivers of America for a large E-Ticket
style attraction for Frontierland.

Imagine if they replaced the Bears with Splash Mountain in the 80's? I don't
think many would have complained. The fact that they replaced it with an
attraction that best suits Fantasyland just doesn't make much sense.

I wondered about that too. The movie flopped but I'm sure the decision
to remove Bears and put Pooh in was made well in advance of the movie.
I have heard unsubstantiated rumors that someday they may put the Bears
in DCA. It will never go back to DL if Disney sticks to its tradition
of never putting an attraction back into the same park once its been
removed. Have there ever been exceptions to this?

Even though it's probably best if I avoid this thread like Spaghettios... here
I go anyway.

I don't know the answer to your question.

I don't know why they released a movie based on an attraction.. and then closed
the attraction. I don't know why they replaced said attraction with a ride
about a character who's a toy, not an animal...

I don't know if they are going to bring the show back ever... I hope so... and
I hope they put it in the Grizzly area of DCA... with a new show, and new
music...

But that's just hoping... I don't really know anything at all..
