Actually, I wrote that. Second, I wrote it because you automatically give
ANYTHING non-Disney a thumbs down, and pitch a tent with anything that is
Disney. Just figured you would have to be semi-against Disney for using UNI
sets to film their flick. (Which, BTW is not a bad film at all. Depp was
excellent, the sets were great, and the FX were cool. A little long, but thats
ok)

Thats exactly where you are flat out wrong. Nobody I have seen here
hates Disney. People here seem to talk about both the good and the bad.
You seem to only see one side. What you seem to do is write Disney a
blank ticket of praise on everything they do. If it says Disney, it's good.

That's also not true.

Well, thats an opinion not shared by many. Walt didn't invent the
themed concept. He just built an entire park based on a concept that
had already been done in a far smaller scale. Theme parks as we know
them today most likely would be here, just not in 1955.

Yes and no. When you say something minor that Disney does wrong, it's
ok. If anyone else does it, they hate Disney. I do not see anyone here
that hates Disney. Only you see that.

Walt certainly speeded things up. But themed rides were done before.
If DL was never built, the smaller themed parks would have developed as
time went on. They would not have stayed back in time as you suggest.

Same crystal ball you have when you say theme parks would not exist
without DL.

Not necessarily. Movie studio tours have been around a lot longer than
Disneyland. Universal opened just as a studio tour - they just did it better
than anyone else.

You could argue that they added amusement rides to copy KBF, not DL.

BTW, KBF, a theme park, is much older than DL.

TCS (The Colorado Skier)
Colorado Skiing is temporarily closed
