Default Beach Club being refurbished right now? Noisy construction?

Does anyone know if Disney's Beach Club Resort is still in the process
of being refurbished two weeks from now? I've read some semi-recent
reviews that many of the rooms are worn and are being refurbed and
that this has been disruptive to some guests.

I have a choice between staying at the Yacht Club or the Polynesian.
Hands-down, the Y&B Club's shared pool facility is the best in all of
Disney World. But I like the theming of the Beach Club better; but
won't enjoy it if the "magic" is tainted through construction going on
all day.

What about the Yacht Club? Is it being refurbed as well?

I'm just back from the Beach Club today. Yes, it's being refurbished
but they're being quite discreet about it--the only thing we noticed
in the way of active construction was some scaffolding covered with
plastic near the end of the hotel. We were in one of the older non-
refurbished rooms and it was just fine--a touch worn but immaculately
clean. Don't let construction deter you from staying at the Beach
Club--it's a great place.

For the first time, by the way, I stayed in a room at the very far end
of the Beach Club closest to Epcot.

Disadvantages of the far-end location:

Long walk from lobby.

View of frog-infested swamp.

Advantages of the far-end location:

Very short walk to Epcot.

View of the upper part Illuminations and close enough to hear the
music.

Not sure about the noise but I thought I had read that the Stormalong
Bay Pool was getting shut down in sections for refurbishment. DVC
members were getting notice.
