Default Hotel to stay while at Disney World

Hello,
We are considering staying at Pop Century as it seems the best value
considering we get the Magic Your Way base ticket with the price. Any
comments or other suggestions would be appreciated. Does anyone know
if there is a fridge in the room or if there is continental
breakfast? How is the location and transportation to the parks? Any
advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

NO Disney hotels include a continental breakfast in the room price,
unless you count the concierge level rooms at the deluxe resorts. The
Values are probably about a 20 minute bus ride away from the parks,
although no one hotel is close to ALL the parks, not even a deluxe. My
first trip I stayed at a Value and didn't have a rental car. My second
trip I stayed at the Poly and had a rental car. I used the rental car
for every park not on a monorail. I would STRONGLY suggest a rental
car if you can afford it, especially if you are staying at a value or
moderate. Parking at the theme parks is included in the price of your
room and it is just more convenient to use a rental car, with the
possible exception of getting to the Magic Kingdom, where you have to
take a boat or monorail from the parking lot anyway.

I believe you can request a mini fridge for your room - it costs
something like $10 a day, which might be worth it so that you can keep
milk and juice in the room for a quick and cheap breakfast in the
room. The food courts and the gift shops in the resort sell breakfast
items that can be kept in the room.

Pop Century is our favorite choice, unless we really want to splurge
on a more expensive resort. I enjoy Disney World a lot more when we
stay on property in a Disney resort than when we stay in a motel
outside Disney World. Pop Century is good. The name "resort" means
there are many nice features at the hotel itself. It is more crowded
than most motels off-Disney. There are thousands of rooms in
the value resorts (Pop Century and the three All Star resorts).

I don't know what deal you're getting from who, but you could get
tickets in a package with any Disney resort room. The value resorts
are the cheapest resorts, so would be part of the cheapest packages.

Fridge in the room is extra. Pop Century (as with most of the
resorts) has a big food court. Breakfast is not included in the
price of the room, but you have lots of food choices.

Located on the south side of Disney World, close to Wide World
of Sports. Not within an easy walk of anything. Convenient
to the Florida Route 192 corridor, which runs on the south boundary
of WDW.

I like Disney bus transportation. We usually drive to Disney World,
and we seldom take our car out of the parking lot while we're
there. You can get from Pop Century to anywhere in Disney World
on Disney buses. Some people don't like the buses as much.
