| | Guest | AAA packages I just got my Going Places magazine from AAA yesterday. There was a
package advertised that sounds pretty good to me and I wanted to share
it with you. If you are a AAA member, you should already know about
it. If you aren't and think this is a good deal, it's worth
joining!
Must be booked by September 24.
5 night/6 day package including theme park tickets (but not park
hoppers and they expire after 14 days). Value resort, standard room
for stays 9/28-11/25, 11/29-12/3 and 12/13-12/23. $49 per day.
Same deal in a studio at Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. Same
dates, same tickets. $94 a day.
You would have to pay to upgrade the MYW tix to park hoppers. Doesn't
mention the dining plan; I'm sure you could add it on. I thought this
was an excellent value and would love to be able to take advantage of
it in December but can't do it this year.

| | Guest | AAA packages I assumed that if I went alone or with my husband I would still be
able to get the deal for that price per day, no?

| | Guest | AAA packages Oh well, even if I'm not taking advantage to the deal, it sounds great
for a family of 4. Room and tickets for $49 a night at a value?
Haven't seen a room alone rate that low since 2000-2002!

I can't believe that tickets are included for $49/night. Please re-read the
offer. | |

Not a bad deal. I got a postcard from Disney for $49.00 room rate on
the Values of course the week I am going is blacked out since POP
Warner Football is in town but for late Mousefesters it is a good deal
for them. | |

| | Guest | AAA packages This comes straight off the Disney website:
5Night/6Day Magic Your Way Package
$49 a day per person, for a family of 4 in a standard room Total Package
Price of $1,168* - save at least $168!
Available for stays most nights Sept 28 - Oct 1, Nov10 - Nov 22, and Dec
15 - Dec 17, 2008
Now, I never understand why a 'family of 4' is 2 adults, 1 junior and 1
child. A junior pays the adult rate anyway! What if you have 2 juniors or
2 children? The offer says that if you have additional adults, you would
pay an upcharge. You can also get this same deal, costing a bit more of
course, at some of the other resorts. The deluxe deal is only for Saratoga
Springs or Old Key West, and there's a limit of 15 rooms at the special
rates.

Marketing 101. It makes the offer seem more attractive. Another of my
favorites, for lack of a better word, is ending prices in $0.99. $100.00
seems like so much more than $99.99
Take that $1,168 and add in junior's pass, then taxes, airfare (if needed),
cash for trip, now we're getting closer to $3,000.
Cheapest airfare I could find (BOS - MCO) $1,038. Airtran 11/10/2008 -
11/15/2008. | |

As long as you want to sleep in the car, if you have one, on the 6th night.

| | Guest | AAA packages My mind got so clouded by the "numbers" that I was thinking per
night. Period. Not per person per night. But if those prices worked
for 2 people it would be $490 for the room and the tickets. I still
don't think that's bad.
