 Alpha's 2008 TR - Magical Express
This is the first year we've used ME and it worked out just as we had hoped
(well, almost). We found the ME counter at MCO, checked in with them, then
went over to the bus loading area and were immediately directed to our bus.
It was almost as though they were waiting for us to arrive, because as soon
as we boarded, the bus pulled out. It was great not having to wait for our
luggage or go through the process of renting a car. And it was fun to be
in the Disney magic from the moment we left the airport!
The glitch was that, having a late check-in (7:00 pm), the bags came well
after the boys' bedtime and even after the time we wanted to go to sleep.
We checked with the front desk at 10:00 pm to find out about our bags, and
by that point they had arrived at the hotel but were still waiting to be
delivered to our room. We didn't think it would be another hour and 45
minutes; otherwise, we likely would have just retrieved them ourselves.
On the return trip, we brought our bags to the lobby and checked in. It
was pretty much just like it would be at the airport -- they check the
reservation, check IDs, weigh the bags, etc. Then we were free of the big
bags and only had our carry-ons with us, which we checked at the bell stand
while we spent our remaining time enjoying the resort. At the airport, we
went right to the gate. And at our destination airport, our luggage was
among the first dozen or so bags to come out on the baggage carousel. So
everything worked just as it should. I'd definitely use ME again.
