Default Greetings, programs!

Anyone seen the "proof of concept" footage for TR2N from Comic-Con? (It on
YouTube now)

I've always been a big fan of Tron! But I will admit that it is not a film
that aged well - even in the 90's my kids laughed at it when I made them
watch it. If they still had the original Blue/Green screen footage, I
wonder how hard it would have been just to upgrade the graphics from the
film. I've seen a couple of kids do some pretty amazing things with a video
camera and a laptop in just a couple of days. But I guess that would be
like colorizing BW films, it would change the artistic quality of the film.

But I'm glad that Disney is finally seriously thinking of doing a sequel and
introducing the world of Tron to a new generation. And if the story is done
right, who knows TRON might be Disney's next movie franchise for a few
years. Which might relate into an new WDW attraction....

Even if Disney does build an attraction I'm sure they'll be a new generation
of Video Games...Can't wait to play Tron's disc on a Wii. ;)

And give Lisberger credit for pioneering the *first* office-cubicle
jokes, almost a decade before Dilbert..

Sorry. Wordstar was on the wrong side of the platform warz. I've
always been a Maccie since 1984.

Now if you take it back to the daze of the Apple ][ and other 8-bit
computers and their various weird tricks (like the Apple using inverse
characters to represent uppercase), I can relate to those.

OK, now you got me thinking hard to those daze. Part of the problem is
that the grey matter is suffering some of the same bit rot that some of
my 5 1/4 floppies are suffering.

A good thunderstorm puts me to sleep. Better than any lullaby.
