Default Garden Grove Character Supper

Hi,

We have booked a character supper at the Garden Grove at the Swan. It's a
BBQ with Goofy and Pluto.

Has anyone attended this supper? Any opinions?

I couldn't find much information about it anywhere other than via our phone
call with Disney.

Thanks!

Jamie

I think the food was pretty much forgettable, but then I find most of
the Disney food is - I'm not much of a foodie, and I am limited in my
choices due to allergies. However, we had a dinner with goofy and
pluto for my son's 7th bday, and he was in absolute heaven. There was
a lot of attention, and it wasn't too crowded and crazy. My son has
sensory issues, and it was a really great environment for him.

My friend and I have done the character breakfast - not supper - several
times when we've stayed at the Swan. The buffet food was the usual
breakfast fare (fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, eggs, pancakes, waffles,
etc.). It was plentiful and good. You can also order from the menu. Based
on my experiences I would imagine the supper would be of equal quality.

If I had little ones I think I would take them here because it's a much
smaller and quieter venue than the usual character meal locations. They
would have a better chance of longer interaction with the Pluto and Goofy.
We haven't had occasion to stay at the Swolphin lately but I would
definitely eat at the Garden Grove again.

If you get the chance please let us know what you thought of it.

LinLee

It's been about 2 years since we did a character dinner there. The
buffet is definitely unforgettable, but as a previous poster said the
intereaction with the characters is greater because of size. A lot
fewer people in a space that's not terribly large. Very relaxing and
the kids enjoyed it (even the 13 year old.)-Cindy
