Remember that Steve Jobs is now on the Board of Directors as a result of
the Pixar acquisition. And Jobs has been working on making Disney more
Mac friendly (the website has tangibly improved, and Radio Disney now
streams through iTunes as well as its Windows only streaming engine on
the RD website). And if there is anything that Jobs brings to the
table, it is a bold willingness to design thing visually.

with the phenomenal success of the Apple Stores.
I think it's likely that, the reason Disney bought back the Disney
stores, was *precisely* due to this expertise.
It's staggering, really, when you consider that Disney could not make
the Disney stores work.
Steve Jobs, John Lassiter and Pixar have, IMHO, saved the Walt Disney
Company. | |

Well, I think you're right. Apple DOES have experience now in doing
retail. And the CM's at the RalDisStore I talked with said that the
rumors they hear is that the new DisStore concept looks a LOT like the
Apple store. Clean lines, etc.
But I don't think you've got the same audience, so the same design won't
necessarily work.
What do I know, though? I'm just a fan of both. ;)

It would pretty neat to be able to access Disney information and try
out new Apple products while doing so. Add a twist of Pixar; I can
see it happening.

And when Apple was being buried under so many "variations", customers
didn't know which product they were buying, and couldn't find
compatibility between a Quadra, a Mac+ or a MacTV...
Jobs is credited with bringing "the ModelT system" to the iMac, thus
getting early 90's praise for the Iconic Design-Recognizable Product.

And iPhone. And Leopard. (And *especially* Vista.) ^_^
